The heart of the SOLGW M476 is the popular 13.9" barrel length with a pinned and welded muzzle device giving you the shortest possible configuration without needing a tax stamp. While a standard 16" barrel with muzzle device is only slightly longer, those couple inches that have been removed allow the handguard to also be shorter helping to reduce weight and making this a handy carbine that is noticeably more maneuverable. The muzzle device that SOLGW has chosen for this particular AR-15 is the Expo Arms/Forward Controls Design single chamber muzzle brake that is compatible with the Dead Air Sandman KeyMount suppressors. The mid-length gas system helps to increase dwell time making this an extremely smooth shooting rifle even when paired with a suppressor. Like the name suggests, this 5.56 rifle comes with the M4-76 free float handguard. This handguard features one of the most durable attachment systems known as the wedge lock that increases the surface area that interacts with the barrel nut for an extremely rigid lockup that won't come loose. Additionally, the M-LOK slots allow you to easily configure your rifle for any mission and the full length top picatinny rail allows you to securely mount critical equipment like back up sights or aiming lasers.

The upper and lower receivers are forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and are mostly Mil-Spec components for reliability except for the ambidextrous safety selector, ambi charging handle, Nickel Boron trigger, and an enlarged trigger guard.

Additionally, it is outfitted with a B5 Systems carbine stock and pistol grip for improved ergonomics and an A5 buffer system for a longer bolt travel which also helps to improve reliability as well as reduce felt recoil. The bolt carrier group is Nitride finished as well as magnetic particle inspected and high pressure tested.
