Very functional buffer tube
by Pro Gun -
I normally buy BCM buffer tubes but for an extra $8.00 how can you go wrong. A friend of mine bought one of these for his carbine build. I liked so I bought two of them for my builds. I already drilled the holes in my Magpul STR stocks so I can use the position numbers on the tube. It really looks cool and is functional.

ENHANCED Buffer tube
by Jay
It's made of 7075🔥
It has the extended lips (not shown in the picture) to really lock in on the buffer retainer to prevent it from shifting when you torque down the castle nut down 👍
The numbers are cool.. but they are kinda off..
When you install a Magpul stock.. the max number you can see is #2 when it is fully extended..
Either way the pros out weight the cons..
I highly recommend this buffer tube for high end builds..
Well made but stop holes seem oversized

I bought this buffer tube along with Spike's heavy tungsten buffer for an overhaul of an M&P 15 Sporter II. This tube turns out to weigh the same (via digital scale) as the stock S&W tube and quality is similar. What's different is the stop holes are slightly larger. My Magpul ACS stock wiggled laterally when mounted and locked. I swapped back the S&W tube and the stock is as rock-solid as an A2. I can't return the Spike's and will keep for a future build. The top slide-stop numbers on the tube are intended to be viewed through the little window in your standard issue collapsible stock. Otherwise, they add no value with a replacement stock like Magpul's ACS. Spike's tungsten buffer is awesome but I wouldn't purchase a second buffer.
Beautifully Finished Buffer Tube

My latest build I decided to go with the American Defense UIC Billet Upper & lower receiver set. I figured I'd build it with as much ADM parts as I could and naturally paid the high cost for their 10 position enhanced buffer tube. So once the ADM arrived I was quite disappointed with how it looked, the tube was rough looking with scratches and what looked like stock marks already on a brand new tube. On top of that the ADM tube didn't want to line up with my JP SCS & buffer pin. That's when I decided to order the Spikes buffer tube, it arrived in perfect condition and not a mark on it. The anodizing is perfect and probably the best I've seen. The tube I received is a bit different than the photos. Mine came with the anti-tilt feed lips and for some reason there's no drainage holes drilled in buffer tube except for the 1 at the rear. Also mine looks to be just anodizing inside not the dry film coating as described.
