NOT a Flash Hider

This is a phenominal device for a competition gun, and it looks great. Fit and finish are great. As many have said, it does quite well with muzzle rise and I had no issues when shooting prone. It's loud, as most comps are. I shot it in low light- and the fireball was very impressive. Definitely not something you want on a duty/ self defense gun, because after one shot in the dark, you're vision will be worthless. Overall, great muzzle device.

Amazing recoil mitigation! The bottom portion is not drilled directing all of the force upwards pushing your barrel back down so you can get back on target. Beware the blast will blow the muffs off your partners head to the side of you lol.
Excellent comp

I recently purchased, mounted and fired the "shorty" comp and it worked great. It was no louder than the other ARs on the line, it had less concussion on the snow in front of the muzzle, and it had a definate reduction in recoil and muzzle rise compared to others with the A2 standard brake. Im sure its not a flash hider by any means, but is way softer shooting. Ill be using this on my other barrel.

Spike's Dynacomp Shorty muzzle break significantly moderates the recoil impulse on my mid length 16" rifle to a mild, straight back nudge. Lateral pressures and subsequent blast are lower than other muzzle breaks I own.
