The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy AOS 9mm Pistol is a robust and versatile weapon great for any use from concealed carry to competition. When making the Prodigy DS 1911, Springfield Armory did not skimp out on features. This DS 1911 is loaded with all you could desire. The forged carbon steel slide utilizes the AOS or Agency Optics system to allow you to add your favorite red dot sight. Matching the slide, the frame is also forged carbon steel and is finished in a black Cerakote wrapped with polymer grips for added comfort. The Prodigy can hang with the best in terms of accuracy by utilizing a 4.25" match-grade bull barrel. One common gripe with the traditional 1911 platform is the lack of magazine capacity, which will not be an issue with the 1911 DS Prodigy. Included is one 17-round and one 20-round magazine that provides an ample amount of ammo capacity. This Prodigy includes a HEX Dragonfly reflex sight leaving very little left to add to this pistol.
