Unknown & under rated

I picked up one of these on a whim, I didn't need it, didn't have a particular attraction to it & never heard of it. The price after rebate was just too low for me to pass up. I figured if it wasn't any good I'd just use it as a paperweight.

The Stoeger STR-9C is basically a copy of a Glock 19. The slide serrations are excellent, not too aggressive but have plenty of grip. The backstraps are better designed than Glock's but the M & L are too aggressive for me but the S backstraps are spot on. The factory sights are better than OEM Glock sights & have better contours. The trigger is ok, not great but better than a stock Glock. It feels like a 2 stage trigger with a bit of creep before it breaks. I've got 350rds through it without any issues. (All brass Blazer) The mags are pricey $35 a pop & hold 2 less than a G19. I'm surprised by how much I like it so far and we'll how it holds up over time.

Very well built & reliable Gun

I have the STR9C that I really like. 1,000 flawless round thru mine, I just to snagged the STR9 to have a standard size gun to go along with the compact STR9C, plus my large frame 9mm Canik target gun.
The STR9C is a bit larger than a Glock 26, The STR9 is a least as large as a Glock 19.
STR9C Positives are soft shooting and accurate, eats any ammo even +p, decent trigger for a Glock clone, goes bang very reliably. Feels right in a moderately large hand.👍
The STR9C was hard to find on sale.
Negatives are finding a proper holster, Mags are +twice Glock prices, hard to find, and for the gun size not the highest capacity, Also, some of the mags fight loading last round,
The standard model not optic ready, but for me not a big deal in an EDC compact.

Great Value and quality at a good price point

Stoeger which is a subsidiary of Beretta, knocked it out of the park with this great line of firearms, I got to try this out at a local vendor range day and it had a lot to offer and I was blown away by the MSRP then even more blown away by the actual street price of this pistol. I have this on my one to get list this year because why not at that price.
