A nightmare for newbies

by -

This kit may be fine for seasoned builders, but unless you can identify each piece on your own...good luck. I assumed (wrongly) that parts would be packaged in groups for the build stage (like Spike's does). The parts come in three bags with all springs in one and an apparently random mixture in the other two. While many pieces are obvious can you tell the difference between a trigger guard roll pin and the bolt catch roll pin? I tried their website and no help there. Went to others and used images to assist but from pictures it looks like they sent two selector springs and one detent spring...but I cannot be sure since I'm a newbie.

Other reviews mention missing this or that, which knowledgeable folks can see right away. I would wind up assuming the wrong piece. I know it sounds like I'm just whining on my first build, but it seems like this kit is best left for the Pros.

Perfect LPK

by -

I saw other reviews about packaging making it hard to differentiate what parts go where. This was not an issue and shouldn’t be, if you are building an AR you should already be very familiar with the parts and/or following a guide. These parts worked great for me and feel like good quality, threads are smooth and everything fits right. Love the way it all looks after being on the gun, ambidextrous safety looks good too. Will be buying more for future AR builds.

Strike Industries has a winner on their hands

This Strikes Industries lower build kit is the same price a MILSPEC but more esthetically pleasing and better in quality. This has become my go to build kit. Highly recommend.

You’d Be Better Off With A Bargain Brand Cheapo LPK

by

Far less than impressed with the quality, or lack there of, for this Strike Industries LPK. The roll pin for the bolt catch opened up and bent when I was installing it with the approximate punch. The buffer retainer was a larger diameter than the hole in my mil-spec receiver. Finally the detents and milling on the SI 60-90 degree safety selector was terrible, so much that it only worked in the 90 degree orientation. Definitely not Strike Industries best work.

The Best LPK for the Money

by -

This is by far the best deal on a quality LPK minus trigger and grip that isnt "ordinary" or "milspec" Everything about this kit speaks quality, the springs are quality springs that dont take a set, have had these for years in many rifles and have never had anything break out of these lpks. Very ergonomic with the ability to choose ambi safety and the bolt catch is by far my favorite out on the market out of all bolt catches out there. its mag release works well with all brand of mags and the magazine release button is well textured for positive grip on the index finger. The detents seem like qualiy and hardened I have not shaved off any tips from detents from these kits running the guns hard and many tactical classes. These work and look great on both forged and billet lowers. And I have had zero issue with these kits with many types of receivers.

Nice, slightly custom kit for the money

This is a fine kit. I use this for builds when the customer wants something a little "nicer" or more custom than MilSpec, but doesn't want to pay for some of the higher-end stuff. Everything here fits perfectly, functions perfectly, and looks nice. I've installed this kit in probably 40 builds, and I've never had an issue when installing, and I've never had a customer complain. No, they didn't label every part for you like a puzzle for a toddler. If you don't know how to build an AR or aren't willing to put in the time to do a little research, do yourself a favor and go buy a DPMS...it'll treat you well and you won't have to figure out why the roll pin that's two sizes too big for the hole you're trying to jam it into won't fit.

No complaints here .

Great kit if you already have a trigger . It comes with a short throw ambi safety some companies charge more for an ambi selector for more than this whole kit. The bolt catch is nice and big with nice texture and the mag release sticks out a little more to make it easier to find . The take down and pivot pins are just a tiny bit too long to make it easier to push out with your finger and a little grove to get your finger nail In to pull the out. And I like how the detents kinda fit into the springs makes it easy to assemble

This is a Solid Set

This is one of those times when you look back on a build and think "that turned out to be a great purchase." This kit is filled with value. The ambi selector alone is worth $25 to me. I say that, because I've purchased some around the $20 mark and I'd happily pay $5 to avoid what they were. Until you have a selector that doesn't work properly, I think you can't really appreciate the value of one that's "no issue." Maybe my kit was just a good example, I don't know. But all parts fit properly and were finished very well. And for the guys that need everything to be sorted in color-coded bags, that's fine and all. But once you go through one build you can put these parts together in your sleep without labels, so I'm happy to save the two or three bucks that lumping in one bag allows.

Some part missing

Nothing special about this kit and I’m so disappointed that it didn’t come with all the parts except for the trigger/hammer/disconnect

Decent kit

This is the second time that I have found myself using Strike Industries lower parts. This one was for a complete swap out. Everything was included and it was the standard ease of installation. I did not use the right side safety selector as it was not a 45-degree throw and the switch felt add against my trigger finger. Other than that it was good to go. I recommend. As always PA shipping was very fast.
