Ratings & Reviews
Not for a home defense rifle/pistol

Giving 3 stars because the item works as it is described. The quality depends on what price you get this at. If you can get it on sale like it has been in the past then it is a 5 star item for that price. At first I was very pleased with the item After about 500 rounds the buffer detent broke the adapter stopped locking in the closed position. If I saw this ever go back on sale for 99.00 I would buy again
Fits very well!
This is by far the best stock adapter I’ve used. For starters, installing it was very easy. No special tools needed except a castle nut wrench. Once installed, it definitely ads a little badassery to your AR in form and function. It also doesn’t change the feel of the rifle. It cycles perfectly even with the bolt attachment. It’s the only unit that works with a 9mm bolt too, nice craftsmanship.
Easy to install. Easy to operate. Easy to transport. Easy on the wallet. Works perfectly. Can’t ask for anything more! The only problem for me is that it doesn't come in flat dark earth color so I had to cerakote it to match my kit, but I didn't have to disassemble to recoat it, so that was a bonus.
DON'T DO IT!!!

I was lucky enough to pick this up while it was on sale; sadly though, I still think I over paid. I would recommend saving up a little bit longer for a Lawtactical adapter versus this.
<br>Pros: light weight, easy install, straight forward design
<br>Cons: lack of a hinge retention adjustment & QD mount, scratches fairly easily, buffer rention spring ended up filing down after only working the CH a few times which allowed the buffer & spring to shoot out...ALL issues after install only; ZERO rounds have been or will be put through it by myself
Cheap and it work !!

I really want to get the Law Tactical Gen 3, but saw the Sylvan Arms on sale for $99 and can't resist the price so I bought 2. The adapter is well made, easy to install, less than half the price of the LT Gen 3. The only CON I would say is the folding hinge is a bit large and high and might interfere with the charging handle (Radian Raptor Charging Handle) if we are not careful.
Small bundle with dynamite

Sylvan Arms has really brought out a great tool for your AR's.<br>Easy to install. Made my 5 1/2" 9mm even smaller, I carry it in my laptop bag.
Easy to Install, Lightweight, Very Happy WIth This Product

This unit was really easy to install, I didn't have to take it apart so it was on in 10minutes with the help of the video. Its lighter than another brand that I have on my other gun, it is 7075 aluminum and can work with my 9mm BCG with the extra adapter piece.
better then expected
light weight, easy install still works after 1000s of rounds
Worked for Me

We installed the folding adapter and added no lube. We flipped it open 1500 times like you would do a rod and reel as if casting for fish. Some where between 1500 and 1750 times It failed. I don't know about you but that is not how I would treat my folding stock adapter. That was just our test. Also, extremely easy to install. And fairly priced and available.

I bought this from Primary Arms, and I’ve read the reviews from Amazon for the Gen 2. I bought this with little expectations to work. It’s not bad, but it did require some fitting when connecting the buffer tube to the folding adapter. I put about around 150 rounds with the adapter on and I haven’t ran into any problems yet. I would trust it.
I had one of these. After 15 rounds the locking device broke. Definitely not high strength steel. I wound up buying a Law Tactical one and it is awesome.
Poorly made garbage, couldn’t be more disappointed with this product unless they sent me a brass paperweight but I guess that would at least have a function. The aluminum is not high strength, the buffer spring keeper is aluminum and barely held the buffer back (popped out 10% of the time) and it had a loose fit and feel. The spring detent bearings wore grooves in the body of the device from opening and closing approx. ten times so I can’t imagine it would hold up over a hundred openings. Spent half the money I spent on the total build for useless crap, don’t buy!!!!!
