Does what it was made to do. A little bulkier than the law tactical but does the same job for a lesser price. Buy them before sylvan ups the price on these. Run it!

Very well made and priced right. See no difference in quality between this and the more expensive folder out there for twice the price. Will buy again.

My main problem with this adapter is that the bolt extension is too easy to knock loose from the bolt when the stock is in the folded position. I can see putting a rifle in a backpack in a folded position and some normal activities dislodging the bolt extension, making the weapon useless. I say this after having installed it on a FM9… Maybe the bolt extension is a lot tighter fit in a standard AR/M16 bolt carrier. Also not happy about the rust on the stainless steel part of the locking mechanism.

This is a very good value. But there is one issue - it will effectively increase your reciprocating mass by over an ounce. The reason is that the standard bolt carrier extension that comes with the kit is nitrided steel. It weights about 1.4 ounces. That's like adding 1.4 ounces to your 3 oz. buffer. They do offer an aluminum one for less than 10 bucks. I needed one for a .300 BLK build to properly cycle subs in a backpack gun.

I bought one. Was happy with it, so I bought another for my other AR. Strange. The first one folded completely open, so stock was parallel to barrel. Second one, not so much. Would not fold completely flat. Also, after a few hundred rounds they both jiggle a little bit, which is probably not a huge deal. But still, it’s a little unnerving to feel & hear your gun jiggle as you’re shouldering it. Next time I think I’ll give the Law Tactical folder a try instead

Bought this as opposed to other higher priced options out there and have to say I'm impressed. Has worked great, excellent value, and will get more of these in the future!

I put this on an AR pistol for the obvious reason. Installation was a bit of a pain and it works as advertised but the 4 stars is for the open position. I would like for there to be more positive lock to hold it open. If you shake the weapon a little, it comes unlocked and the stock swings away. No biggie.....I still like the addition.

This is just another glowing review for the adapter. I have one on my AR9 and an AR pistol. Great for a truck or backpack build. If you're building an AR9 make sure you factor the BCG plug in into your buffer set up as the weight might change the overall mass reciprocating but other than that it's pretty easy for a weekend warrior. Oh yeah dont send your buffer detent pin across your living room...I bush leagued the first one.

I shoot left handed and have left side ejection uppers on all my AR's so that puts the forward assist seemingly in the way but it actually works perfectly with my SB4 brace - as long as it's in position 1. Position 1 is my preferred shooting position anyway so for me its perfect. Any lefties out there looking for a folding adapter can buy this one without worry.

They started using an aluminum plug for the bolt extension. I had to remove a 2.5 oz weight to install in my 9mm bolt. The aluminum plug is only 1oz so I was losing the very much needed weight at the bolt/buffer. Reached out to Sylvan and they were very good about getting me a 3oz steel plug. Now I'm back in the goldilocks zone. Gotta say the price and product and service is a heck of a combo. On the fence? Just get it with no regerts.
