Ratings & Reviews
works fine for me
by Vlad -
Everything fits and functions as is suppose to, I did not have any problems nor assembling the buffer tube nor at a range. It's not as "cool" as more pricey kits and does not have any logos on it, but hey, once you put on a buttstock and snapped a lower to an upped there is really no difference. So unless you are really into buying brand products and paying 5x more or want some custom color for your buffer tube this one will just work fine.
A fully functional and working Receiver extension kit

My 2nd kit. This buffer tube kit is nothing to write home about, but it works 100% as intended for both 5.56 Ar's and for 7.62x39 Ar's, for the price its better then any kit you will get from a china seller, the spring is at least decent and isnt super loud and twangy, the castle nut and end plate are jsut standard milspec and thread and fit on as one would expect without being loose or wobbly, the tube is finished pretty dang well and i think is the best thing about this kit, its smooth inside and out with no machine marks, the anodizing is well done inside and out, and stocks like the MFT minimalist fit perfectly nice and tight on the tube, leave it to Primary Arms to offer a decent piece of kit at such a great price, will probably be buying more of these in the future.
Great buffer kit for great price!!!

Ordered kit and usual Primary Arms had it to me in 2 days! Kit looks amazing and everything fit perfect! However I didnt use the spring because I had a JP I wanted to use but the spring looked fine in kit. Ive tried diff buttstocks from magpul to stock m4 stocks and all fit tight with no wiggle. Castle nut and end plate looked and worked fantastic! It looked better then one I ordered seperately from a “quality” manufacturer. I highly recommend this kit for any build!! Thanks Primary Arms again!!
Good product except for castle nut.
by BWL -
Bought two and are using both. They work well with the guns. Only complaint is the end plate and castle nut are sub standard. The castle nut stripped a little on both guns. You can purchase better ones for a few bucks and still come out with a good buffer tube assembly for under $30.

Tube is worthless. Makes my Magpul stock have the wobbles.
Take note of spring length
by Nick -
For the price I don't think you can beat this kit. Everything aligns correctly and tightens how it should. However, the spring in the kit I purchased was between 1 1/2 - 2" to long causing the rifle to not cycle at all. Swapped out with a brand new one that was the correctly length and everything worked flawlessly.
Worth every penny

The fit and finish of the buffer tube has exceeded my expectations. Fit my Ruger lower perfectly. B5 systems stock installed effortlessly and fits snug with no rattle.
Didn't expect what I received
by David -
For the price my expectations were very low, upon receiving it I was very highly surprised.. Finish is great and quality is actually better then most of the "quality" brands. Fit was perfect also had the intention for buffer retainer... Also to my surprise the castle nut had spots to stake it down.. Very happy with the product
You get what you pay

Very poor fitment, when it comes to joining upper wont close. Like previously metioned when backed up to have upper close the bpttom lip on tube wouldnt hold buffer retainer properly. Makes my butt stock wiggle quite a bit. Would not recommend. This was just my experience
I've seen some of the bad reviews. This has not been my experience. Added a little oil onto the buffer tube & my MFT stock fit perfectly. The fit & function is both tight & smooth.

Well I purchased a couple of these on sale.
Turns out my mil spec Magpul MOE stock will slide right off the end of the extension.
Further measurements indicate the diameter side to side is correct but the 6-position key is .050” shorter than my other US made receiver extension. Just enough to let the pin slide off the end.
Would not recommend this product.
Budget product, Quality meets expectations.

I got this on a flash sale for $12 and didn't even bother reading reviews. Upon opening the products, there was no evidence that they were cheaply made. They installed just like they should and my Magpul MOE stock fits snuggly and operates fine. Thanks for saving me a significant amount of money on my build!
Mine doesn't fit!
by Frank -
The buffer tube has serious fit issues for me. It interferes with the upper closing. Back it out and there's not enough on the lip of the buffer retainer pin.
I had never even heard of buffer tubes having dimension problems.
No wonder this is on sale.
I like it.

Was a little skeptical of this after reading reviews. Decided to order anyways over Black Friday when it was on sale.
All in all I did not have any issues like other reviewers had. Maybe their QC isn't good and some bad ones got out? I don't know but mine worked great on my recent build. Can't really comment on long term durability and such but the fit and finish of the tube itself was great. It looks a lot nicer than my other milspec tubes. It is a true black, almost like it was painted?
Not sure but for now I am happy for my aero lower and Magpul ctr stock fits perfect.

I installed the buffer tube with no issues. However when I installed the stock there was a whole lot of slop. The stock wiggles way too much. Last Tiger Rock product for me. Made in China.
Bargain and Quality

Fit and finish on all the parts are great! The end plate fit perfectly on my Anderson lower and the buffer tube fit perfectly with my Magpul SL Carbine stock, no wiggle at all! The stock collapsed all the way to the first position, just as it should with any other buffer tube. Put some lube or white lithium grease on the buffer spring to quiet it down and it is good to go! Be advised, these parts are made in China.
Perfect buffer tube assembly and almost free
by Cory -
I’m not sure if they recently bumped up their quality control or what, but this buffer tube and spring assembly could not be beat for the price. Everything installed and worked as it should. Threads on buffer tube are perfectly machined and allow for 100% buttstock range of travel.
Not Good So Far...
by JT -
I just recieved this set and its not good. The castle nut will not unscrew off the buffer. Either the threads are bad on buffer or castle nut is bad. I was able to unscrew the nut 2 rotations but it's taking off all th finish in buffer and will not go any further. Maybe I got a bad one which happpens... I emailed Primary Arms so will update this review once I have some form of resolution. Hopefully they help make this right. It appears others had success with this product so I'm hopping this is "one off". I was super excited as PA got my order out ASAP even with holidays. BUT this is the last component of my lattest build and not I have to wait:(.
Plan on buying a different end plate...
by Joseph -
Buffer tube, spring and buffer itself are all good quality and work well. However plan on buying a different end plate, the index tab is really narrow which allows the tube to rotate a decent amount. I swapped the end plate for another i had laying around, which fixed the problem.
Tiger Rock Buffer Tube Kit

Bought this on sale as part of my AR9 build. Since most things for AR9 seem to cost more, wanted this at the sale price point. No issues as previous reviewer since I live in California and I was making it a compliant rifle by putting on a Thordsen stock (not adjustable). Works well!
DON'T BUY IT UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO DO THE WORK FOR THEM
by AR CLAUDIO -
It does work, but the tube I got has the threads to big all the way to the back, so the buttstock can not slide all the way in. Nothing that a hand file can not do, but then you will need to repaint it. Why go to all the trouble when they're so many option. First and last item from TIGER ROCK for me.
