The Timney AR-15 competition trigger is wire EDM machined from heat treated S7 tool steel with an aluminum housing so you don’t have to worry about it breaking after years of heavy use. The single-piece drop-in design is easy to install and is more reliable than standard fire control groups because it keeps dirt and debris from getting inside the mechanism. Each and every trigger is individually tested and calibrated by hand before leaving the factory floor.
This AR-15 single stage trigger group is non-adjustable to reduce the amount of parts that are potential failure points so you can rely on it in any situation. All engagement surfaces are precision ground to produce a smooth consistent pull that breaks in the same spot every time leading to greater accuracy. Not only is this trigger a good choice for competition, but it is great for general target shooting and trying to get the smallest groups.
Timney Triggers was founded in 1946 with the mission to bring consumers high quality, precision AR-15 and AR-10 components. They have since built a reputation that resembles this sentiment by providing triggers that are optimized for competition use by competition shooters. If you have an AR, it needs a Timney trigger.

Great Quality, Far better than Average Price!!!

Cheapest place I found this drop in trigger was here on Primaryarms.com. It was literally $100 less than everywhere else I looked. I can't wait to install this on my "The Jack" lower receiver when it arrives for my pistol build. We all have our own opinions and I wanted the best of the best. So I ordered this one. Timney makes a high quality trigger and most places compare their product with theirs. It was shipped pretty fast and came with all parts. I've heard of horror stories elsewhere so I will definitely order from Primaryarms.com again.

Fast shipping easy to install and works perfectly.

GREAT PRODUCTS FAST ORDERING AND SHIPMENT. GREAT PRICES. ITEM ARRIVED WELL PACKED AND WORKING GREAT. I WILL BE BACK. UPDATE..AFTER ABOUT 400 ROUNDS THE TRIGGER FAILED. IT SEEMS LIKE THE HAMMER IS HANGING UP. IT WILL CYCLE BACK AND LOCK BACK.. IF I PULL THE TRIGGER MULTIPLE TIMES YOU WILL HEAR IT CLICK FORWARD A HAIR THEN WILL FULLY ENGAGE AND DROP THE HAMMER RANDOMLY . A DANGEROUS SITUATION. I NOTIFIED TIMNEY AND AM AWAITING INSTRUCTIONS TO SEND BACK. VERY DISCOURAGING FOR 250 TRIGGER.
Extra Care Required

Good quality, but the set screws to lock the module in place require extra care to prevent cross threading due to the spring wire blocking access for good alignment.
Only The 661-S From Now On

I had a few Timney triggers in the past and they were always fine quality...but this little number is something altogether different....crisp, exact, definitive, glass smooth, scary, disconcerting, lusty, seductive, and 1000 different adjectives on a thousand different days....I have had many other brands 'high end' triggers over the years and they were all excellent in their own specific ways....but I'm saying that I believe I have found the Holy Grail for an AR platform in this little number...and thanks to PA it was about 20% cheaper than anywhere else who had it in stock and I had it within 3 days and I don't live in Texas....this will be the only trigger I put in any of my future builds.

I had a two stage trigger that came with my Rock River Arms AR-15 that functioned well but I wanted something different. The only difficult part of installing the Timney trigger was when you had to move the trigger springs out of your way to screw in the two tiny set screws. Once done the Timney trigger felt spot on. There was no take up or slack what-so-ever. After a few dry fires doing a function check I could tell the exceptional quality of this trigger. The 3 lbs. pull broke clean and crisp like glass. It's a bit pricey but a great upgrade from the old.

Timney ar trigger
I ordered the timney 3lb ar15 trigger two weeks ago. It was the best price I found on the Internet and only cost $3.80 to ship. I received it by US mail in four days. Haven't used the product yet but I was very pleased w/ my over all price and the quick delivery.
I purchased the Timney trigger to replace the Mil-Spec 2 stage trigger in my Bushmaster Varminter AR-15. All I can say is that I'm extremely happy with the install and especially the clean crisp release. Install took about 30 mins total as the hardest part was installing the two set hex head screws. My MOA went from .75 MOA to .30 MOA. Price, Service and Shipping was exceptional. Thanks Primary, you have a customer here for life.

It's working just fine
Snap cap to the rescue
Just installed the Timney 3# trigger, that with a set of KNS pins, took all of three minutes. I have yet to fire the new trigger but with the help of a snap cap I'm able to dry fire the AR. You can almost talk the trigger into firing and it breaks like fine china. There is enough resistance to have a good feel and there is zero travel. I will write another review after the next time I can shoot live fire. At this point I would recommend the Timney to others looking to upgrade.
Ordered a timney 661-s trigger that was listed in a special 20% offer but it was a wrong listing . These guys still honered the deal and even had to go out of house to get the trigger . You guys or gals are awesome! !!! 🔫
