The entire housing of a Timney trigger is lightweight aluminum, and the hammer is wire-EDM machined from S7 tool steel, while the remaining parts of the trigger system are EDM cut from A2 tool steel.

Ordered this trigger because it was on sale and I have heard good things about Timney. Turns out the hype was correct. Installs perfectly, no take up, smooth crisp break, and super short reset. Timney is my go to trigger company from now on.

Absolutely no take up, all fire. Solid lightweight 3lb pull. Fits perfectly, dropped right in. One of the best feeling triggers I have installed. Might switch over others also after using these.

You can not go wrong with this trigger. You have to be OCD, like me, to
find much difference between this and the competition trigger from
Timney. For a every day build this is the one! Pay attention when installing
If you over tighten the screws keeping the trigger in place, you WILL
distort the trigger components enough to cause creep, possible higher
trigger pull. Do it correctly and this trigger is every thing Timney says it is.

This is my fourth Timney drop-in trigger and not up to par with the others. The locking screws are impossible to work with. Trigger pull not smooth and measures 4lb 5 oz. Not at all what I expected from a top notch company like Timney.

Found it to be a nicer pull than the Mil Spec that were Nickel plated. Although the Mil Spec's were smooth dropping the weight to 3 pounds makes a long shot easier...
Solid replacement

I have always used CMC single stage triggers and tried this Timney. I like it, it has no takeup, quick reset. I wish the trigger itself had a little more meat on the face to it. No evidence to say this, but cant help but feel it isnt as heavy duty as a trigger face with more material like the CMCs have. I dont shoot with gloves but if I did I think a little wider trigger face would be a benefit. Highly recommend this trigger, and 6 months from now I may be hooked on the skinny trigger face. Super easy drop in, functions outstanding, less take up than CMC, comes down to personal preference.
