This J-Arm allows for you to attach the PVS-14 night vision monocular to a USGI Rhino Mount. The J-Arm screws into a threaded whole in the body housing of the PVS-14. It then lines two contact points up to complete the electrical circuit.
Once the circuit is complete, the night vision can activate. This allows for the J-Arm to turn off the night vision device when the Rhino mount is flipped up.
This saves on battery power and limits the visibility of the green light emitted by the ocular lenses of the PVS-14.
