The enhanced viewing area is nice!

The MRO is the first non budget red dot I have purchased. I own many Holosun,'s and Romeo 5s. Right off the bat you noticed the increased viewing area in comparison to Aimpoint Micro's and the many clones of that sight. It is substantial and more akin to a reflex style sight. The green dot is crisp and easy to pick-up. Is it easier that a red dot? Not really but the green looks cool and matching my green tritium front sight post. The dial on top is easy to adjust and fairly intuitive. Clicks are firm and audible when sighting the optic. The quality of this sight is evident when handling it, even though it is quite light. Do you need a 500 dollar red dot? Probably not. I have never had any issues with my cheaper red dots and both those and this MRO perform exactly the same for the exception of the enhanced viewing area of the MRO. I do not shoot any faster with the MRO. I am not a LEO or active duty military, but I wanted at least one top shelf red dot.
Not a "green" dot

I had high hopes for this optic but was disappointed to see that the "green" dot is actually somewhere between a green and yellow dot. It certainly is not GREEN like every other green dot opitc out there. Why Trijicon went with grellow as an dot color but still market its a green, is beyond me.
I ran the optic for a 3 day Costa class and was surprised how easy it was to "lose" the dot against certain landscape colors, which is not something you should have to do with a higher-priced optic from a name like Trijicon.
The big field of view is nice and this would have been a slam dunk if it had actually been green in color. Back to a Holosun I go!
