The Trijicon RMR Type 2 is a micro red dot optic designed to improve target aquisition speed and accuracy of nearly any weapon platform, from compact and full-sized handguns to shotguns, carbines, and long guns. The lightweight Ruggedized Miniature Reflex sight is also ideal as a backup optic and featuers an open sight picture, allowing the shooter to simply place the red dot on the target, rather than focusing on aligning iron sights. The RMR Type 2 features a brightness toggle that allows the user to easily switch between manual and automatic brightness settings. With a rugged forged aluminum housing, the RMR Type 2 is designed to stand up to the harsh recoil of a semi-automatic pistol slide, and is waterproof up to 20 meters. The durable forged aluminum housing features new tactile click-adjustments for easier and more secure zeroing. The electronics have been ruggedized and easily controlled with ambidextrous power controls.

Don't buy cheap optics!
Spent a good amount of time researching red dot sights for my build and planned or just incase uses. Placed a call into trijicon and they answered every question I had in detail. They stand behind their products from what I've learned.
After mounting this optic I realized how nice the illumination buttons were and where they are placed. This optic has the auto dimming feature and it works excellent! The elevation/windage adjustments are very easy to adjust to help you with the different shooting distances and conditions.
The lenses coating is awesome! The housing is super durable (a friend has had one for years and he beats on it while training and it's held up to the abuse. I recommend this optic!

Not all red dots are created equal. This one is much better than the others I have tried. Well built, clear, and the dot does not wobble about. Well worth the extra $.
The only red dot when lives on are on the line

Bought for my LEO daughter, after input from serious LE trainers and Military experts. It is simply the red dot all others are measured.

Get what you pay for
Great red dot

I got a couple of these for my Gen 3 Glocks and they are great. Dots are brighter and clearer than my Vortex Venoms. I used Laser Blade Engraving here in Idaho and he cut my slides specifically for the RMR, check him out. If you have a Gen 3, time to upgrade it before red dots are banned.
Boringly reliable

I'm slowly transitioning all my defensive pistols from irons to red dots. This is my 3rd RMR. I've had no issues with any of them.
The auto adjust brightness is excellent, and its very durable and can take a beating. My only gripe is the battery placement. U have to remove the sight to change it. Otherwise 5 stars
