The Trijicon RMR Type 2 was designed to improved the speed and accuracy of nearly any small arms weapon platform. Incredibly lightweight, the Ruggedized Miniature Reflex sight provides a simplified and open sight picture, allowing the shooter to simply place the red dot on the target, rather than focusing on aligning iron sights.

The Type 2 has seen a host of improvements hardening the optic against arguably the most damaging application: handgun slide mounts. The durable forged aluminum housing features new tactile click-adjustments for easier and more secure zeroing. The Best RDS in the business

Excellent red dot sight, as all trijicon products are. The dot is crystal clear with plenty of brightness settings to adapt to your environments. Fit and finish are perfect as well. This is my go to red dot for all weapon platforms.

Durable but outdated

The rmr does what a red dot should and is durable as but I'm surprised how outdated the features are. Majority of other red dots don't put the battery underneath the unit so it is annoying having to remove the rmr from my glock to change the battery. The fact that the sealing plate doesn't come with the rmr is surprising as well. You pay so much money and they can't throw in a $15 sealing plate?

This is the only thing I will run for handgun slide mounted optic. The quality, durability, and form factor are the best in my opinion. This specific dot size and the adjustable option make this tough to beat. The need to remove it to replace the battery seems to be a necessary evil to accomplish the overall package.

I'm slowly transitioning all my defensive pistols from irons to red dots. This is my 3rd RMR. I've had no issues with any of them.
The auto adjust brightness is excellent, and its very durable and can take a beating. My only gripe is the battery placement. U have to remove the sight to change it. Otherwise 5 stars
Great red dot

I got a couple of these for my Gen 3 Glocks and they are great. Dots are brighter and clearer than my Vortex Venoms. I used Laser Blade Engraving here in Idaho and he cut my slides specifically for the RMR, check him out. If you have a Gen 3, time to upgrade it before red dots are banned.
