Best Ambi Mag Release I've Seen

by

Troy has one of the few ambi mag releases that actually clears the B.A.D. lever, thus making this my favorite mag release. It also looks good, functions perfectly, and grabs the mag slightly deeper than my stock catch. Primary Arms also has the best price on this that I have seen

Great Product

I use the Troy mag release in all my builds. I was very happy to see Primary Arms had them as they were the only ones who did have them. This is a necessary piece of hardware for my rifles.

Magazines Dropped Randomly

by

I probably got a faulty model since Troy is considered a reputable company. Just like the title says, magazines would drop randomly when inserted into the rifle with this mag catch. If I even looked at it too hard the magazines would drop. This included GI mags, Pmags, a troy mag, and my Lancer mags. Returned to PA with instructions to send replacement but was given store credit instead. This was probably because I used a coupon for the first purchase. Not a bid deal. Will probably use store credit for Norgon catch if PA ever stocks them.

Great Ambi Release

by

I like most of Troy's AR components. They just have the look and function. This mag release also worked for my build! Living in California, the un-free state, this ambi release works with a prince 50 mag lock. Primary arms is my "go to" for AR platform parts. They always ship fast and call me immediately if there is anything wrong with my order.-Cameron

excellent for lefty

I have this on all my rifles. Good part for the ambi/southpaw shooter.

Didn't work and did?

by

Got the Troy ambi mag release because I really liked the look and overall design. Problem arose when it wouldn't hold a mag (Magpul Gen 3). Put the mag in and it fell right out. This was on a Seekins SP223. Put an extra Mil Spec release bar on and it worked fine. I then tried the Troy on my Windham AR and.........worked like a charm! So, wasn't wasted money after all.
