I was skeptical at first after watching a video review of this ambi bolt release and reading a few reviews. I must say, the guy in the video must have been a few can's shy of a 12 pack, along with reviews stating that it moves in the way of the trigger "slides to and fro, if you mount it correctly and use the set screw, it does not move period. I think some people should read the directions or ask someone with 1/4 of a brain to do it for them, I didn't read the directions, It's as easy as counting to 3. This item rocks, is made of metal, easy to install and does not wiggle what so ever. A friend has the magpul "Bad lever" and this one is far more superior, so he decided to order one of the troy models to replace his. This item clears all parts making it an effortless install and use. You can't go wrong with Troy. A+ in my book and a must have.

Being a longtime shootist of handguns, this modification just seemed to make sense for me. Being able to engage the bolt catch without removing my stronghand from a fire-ready position was a desirable quality with this upgrade. The same can be said when releasing the bolt. The stronghand lever operation allowed my support hand to naturally return to the foregrip after feeding a magazine. Although I am a big fan of Magpul ,and even their B.A.D. lever, I feel that Troy may have them beat on this particular item. The pronounced texturing offers more confidence that the finger engagement will occur. Also, the ability to set the angle of the lever allows the operator to choose the appropriate distance from his / her fingertip. Easy to install.

Bought this one to see how different then the MagPul I have on my other AR's. It tends to hold to the gun better and less back and forth slop then with the Magpul, very happy with this BAD.
