I've had one of these on every AR I own for about 4 years now. I have a factory Noveske Gen 3 10.5" that I've put around 7-8000 rounds through in 4 years and have never had a single issue with the bolt not locking back that was caused by the ambi bolt release. It's the same one I bought 4 years ago and it still functions flawlessly. It will not work on every build depending on the bolt release you have or upper receiver, so be advised before ordering. If you have a bolt release that is recessed into the upper receiver it's not going to work. Other than that, it allows you to use your index finger to lock and unlock the bolt. I think the most beneficial aspect is being able to lock the bolt back while having full control and sightline of the barrel.
Great addition to your rifle

This is a great addition to your MilSpec style bolt release. I have normally used Phase 5 Ambi Bolt Releases in the past, but decided to give this a try. Once installed, it's just as solid as the Phase 5 single piece release, and it fits perfectly on several lowers, including an Anderson, Tactical Machining, and even a JoeBob billet lower (which the Magpul BAD doesn't work on). It looks like a factory part, and has not given me any issues. I like ambi bolt releases because it assists in quicker mag changes and works especially well when prone shooting. I did use Loctite blue to secure the screws and 'bed' the Troy release to the MilSpec part, but in more than a year of heavy usage it hasn't budged. Highly recommend!
Smooth every time bud

I absolutely love this Ambi Bolt Release. If you install it correctly, it will work as advertised. The set screw helps keep the Ambi lever from wiggling around. I have used both this and the Magpul BAD lever and I prefer this over that because this one does not wiggle as much. Both are great products but I rather much prefer this one. Highly recommend it if you're on the fence between the two.

Ordered this for my Aero precision m5 but it won't fit due to the thicker lower receiver. This is a genuinely good product, just wished it could have worked.
