Details

The BattleMag is engineered to function flawlessly with all M4, M16/AR-15, HK416 and FN SCAR rifles and carbines. An aggressive scale pattern provides the ultimate magazine grip in dirty or wet conditions. A bolstered floor plate is set flush to eliminate the BattleMag from catching on other magazines or creating unnecessary bulk when stacked or pulled from a pouch. The reinforced feed lips and anti-tilt follower do not require a clamp to keep the feed lips from spreading when kept loaded for extended periods of time. Made from improved Troy proprietary military-grade, chemical, biological and impact resistant polymer and extensively tested by Special Ops units. Includes a flush and shock absorbing extended floor plate lock.

A Good Magazine...Not Great

by -

Honestly, this FDE Mag looks and feels flimsier than a PMAG, but it has run flawlessly through three ARs. It has a thin profile from top to bottom and I like the texture of the grip as it feels good in the hand when handling the mag. The only issue I have with the mag is that the front of the follower does not stop at the top...it actually tilts upward past the 'stop' and hits the feed lips. However, I found that this doesn't affect the function. As a comparison, I also have the FDE and black versions of this mag. The FDE mag has the same issue but for some reason, the black mag DOES NOT. If you look at the description pics on the website for the FDE mag, you'll see EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Overall, I'm happy with this mag. It's a cheaper and (so far) reliable alternative to a PMAG. NOTE: Read the instructions before attempting to remove the bottom plate. If you're not careful, you could accidentally break off one or both retaining tabs.

A Good Magazine...With A Couple of Issues

This FDE Mag looks & feels flimsier than a PMAG, but it has run flawlessly through three ARs. It has a thin profile from top to bottom & I like the texture of the grip as it feels good in the hand when holding it. However, I do have two issues. First, the follower does not stop at the top. The front end of the follower actually tilts up past the 'stop' & hits the bottom of the feed lips. I found that this doesn't affect the function. As a comparison, I also have the FDE version of this mag & it does the same thing. But, the black version I have DOES NOT have this issue. The other problem I have is the anti-tilt followers; When you try to push the front of the follower back down, it gets hung up & won't push down. This is prevalent in all of my BattleMags, any color. This doesn't really affect function of the mag either...just an observation. Overall, I like these mags. So, if you're looking for a cheaper but reliable alternative to a PMAG, try this one.
