Troy Battlemag-Will Get The Job Done
by Chris
They work just as they are suppose to...however I am not thrilled about the fitting (hint the 4 star). When properly mounted in the magazine well they move back and forth alot more than I want for a battle mag. So for battle set ups it's back to the Magpul's but practice/training Troy's will do just fine!
Great magazines !
by Brian
My favorite magazines! Drops free everytime in all my rifles. Functions flawlessly. Magpul, Hex, Amend 2 magazines don't always drop free. Can't go wrong with Troy or Primary arms!
Worst feed ammo
by David -
I agree the magazine fits in the reciever fine but ammo keeps jamming up and wont feed. I do not have this problem with any other magazine but one of these (I ordered two but only tried one so far). Jammed up because it looks like the follower does not keep the ammo at the correct angle so it wont work at all with more than 20 reds in it.
Bad bases

Bought 3 of these to try out will not buy again the tabs on base broke when I was adding the pull piece only broke on 2 but will stick with pmags
You get what you pay for.
by Ryan -
You get what you pay for with these. They feel noticably weaker than most other polymer magazines, almost like they are made out of the same ABS that toys are made from. If you try to install the pull tabs that protrude from the bottom plate, you are almost certain to break the locking ears off to get them off unless you are painstakingly careful. Once these break, your mag is totaled. Stick to standard aluminum mags if you are that hard up for cash. Or pay the extra money for the proven Magpul PMAGs or Daniel Defense polymer mags. These are pretty much disposeable.
Excellent mags for your AR and double pouches. Feed and Fit Well!
by Raymond -
Great mags, Double up nicely in mag pouches. Seat well when SMACKED! and always drop free. I've used them in several different rifles with the same results.
Cheap plastic mags
by Mark- -
Cheap plastic mags. The side is shiny and slick poor design floor plates tabs will break.
Side by side with Magpul no contest.
I will give a long thought before I purchase another Troy product.
Garbage
by Derek
These mags are junk. If you attempt to remove the base plate you will most likely destroy the retaining tabs that hold the base plate on. The plastic is extremely soft. I assumed that since Troy is a quality parts manufacturer, these would be decent mags. I was very wrong.
Cheap for a reason..lesson learned
by Jeff -
Ordered 4 of these just cause they were on sale. Opener one and went to switch out the floor plate for the grab tab just to see if I liked it. Putting it back together and the tabs that lock into the magazine body broke clean off. I'll stick with pmags.
Troy,what were you thinking?try again
by Randy -
Decent.loads and feeds fairly smoothly, reliable.nice visible blue follower.mag body is slippery despite narrow band of texture on corners.
Baseplate designed by a moron.if you disassemble to maintain or swap flat floor plate for included pull tab you will likely break the tiny idiotic locking tabs used to secure it and good luck getting it back together.just a stuipid design that ruins an otherwise good mag.ok for plinking or target practice.i wont trust with my life. I got on sale for $6 ea.otherwise id return.stick to Pmags,Lancer,G.I.mags
