Good Solid Mount

I needed a sling mount for my 13.8" battlerail alpha. I bought this style and it works really well. No need to install a rail section, just install it into the vent hole and plug in your QD sling swivel. I like the limited rotation feature as well, so my sling won't twist up. Excellent product...

great option for Alpha Battlerails

I wanted to change my sling location on my Troy Alpha Battlerail and I thought about buying another section of rail until I saw this option.I had the mount installed within five minutes after figuring out where I wanted it. The mount fit the holes in the Battlerail perfectly and in my opinion is a much better choice for a mount than a rail section and rail sling mount. Much more streamlined.Worth noting is that a dab of blue Loc-Tite wouldn't be a bad idea (not included) as the screw turned very easily in the threads. Also, I found that the back section of the mount (that goes inside the rail) would not clear the low profile gas block. I admit I did not try sliding the back section around to see if there was any way to get it past the gas block as I was happy with the location I wound up with, but it was something I noticed. All in all I really like the sling mount and I also (and more importantly) like, respect and admire PA's service!
