Don't discount UTG's quality - A+
Excellent A2 stock assembly. Great construction, fit and function. No issues with spring and buffer after 200 rds. I'll be ordering this stock again!
good but glossy

Its a complete a2 stock with ar10 buffer, but its very glossy. Reminds me of a normal a2 stock after its been oiled down for a parade. Would look good on an a1 style build.
Great for a great price.

for 50.00 This is a great stock. UTG has done a good job. If you have a complaint feel free to buy the 200.00 one. Its 50.00 that is a great deal for this style of stock
Rear screw can’t be removed.
by Robert -
Leapers over tightened the rear screw on the stock during manufacturing. This makes it damn near impossible to remove without stripping the screw. I called Leapers and they confirmed that it is a known problem.
Cheap, overtightened buffer tube screw
by Jeff -
couldn’t loosen the screw to remove the buffer tube. Contacted primary arms, received a second product and had the same issue. Don’t buy this cheaply made product.

I bought this stock after seeing other posts saying the screw was on too tight. I received this stock with the same problem, however instead of sending it back I used my Impact drill with a flat head bit to loosen and remove the buffer tube. After that installation was typical, this is a pretty high quality reproduction stock for 308 platform looks clean and we'll made. If your screw is stuck use an impact. Many ways to skin a cat.
Good to go!
Leapers seems to pay attention to feedback. Some of the other reviews note the fastening screw to secure the stock to the buffer tube was cranked down and not releaseable or not releaseable without a severe amount of force (impact drill). The kit I receieved today had that screw installed but left lose for easy removal and stock assembly. It's pretty smart how they ship it where everythign is contained in one small box. The stock is of very nice quality. One thing of note is the tab to open the trap door in the stock is tight, I recommend using an unspent round in the field, Just use the bullet to depress the tab and you'll be fine. Good spot for a dope book or spare scope batteries.
