My newest AR build started out as an M4 with a railed low profile gas block. It was too high for the hand guard I was using so I bought this VLTOR. My barrel wasn't dimpled for a set screw type gas block and there were few options in a non adjustable clamp on style. This gas block was exactly what I needed. It also fit using the Diamondhead VRS T hand guard which is one of the smallest ones I've seen, so you should be good with just about all other hand guards. I haven't shot this rifle yet so I can't tell you about that aspect but I have no doubts it will function properly. As always, Primary Arms' website ease of use and shipping times were spot on.

One of the best engineered lo-pro gas blocks on the market IMO. I prefer the twin screw clamp attachment to set screws used by many other companies. VLTOR has a "sighting hole" in the gas block too. Turn it upside down on the barrel, use a Sharpie to mark the gas port location, spin the block over 180 degrees and install with thread locker for a perfect fit.

This block is well built but won't fit under the Midwest slim rails... Modified the bolts to clear the rail, so no returns for me. But figured I'd give an honest review that might save some one a headache in the future. As always PA did a great job!
