The SureStrike firing pin is EDM (Electric Discharge Machine) machined from A2 tool steel. Volquartsen - known to go that extra mile - hardens the SureStrike pin to Rockwell 58-58 measured standards to give you that long term durability you deserve.

Another great feature of the SureStrike is that Volquartsen builds the pin .004” wider than the factory pin.  A wider pin means the elimination of movement from side to side.

The sharp hook of the Volquartsen Exact Edge extractor is set closer to the rim of the cartridge and ensures a more reliable extraction of the spent shell. Volquartsen believes in consistent and durable aftermarket accessories, and the extractor is also formed from A2 steel and hardened to the same exacting standards as the SureStrike firing pin.
