Another main benefit of the Vortex Viper 6 MOA red dot is the ultra-clear, fully multicoated lens that offer a wide unobstructed view. The glass is protected by the aluminum chassis to prevent it from cracking if it gets impacted by a barrier or dropped. It also features Vortex’s ArmorTek coating that prevents the glass from getting scratched. The illumination, windage, and elevation adjustment buttons are easy to reach, and O-ring sealed, making this optic completely waterproof. It runs on a single CR2032 battery that can last up to 30,000 hours on the lowest setting and 150 hours on the highest. Just in case you forget to turn it off for the day, it has a 14 hour auto-shutdown feature to prevent excessive battery drain when you aren’t using it.
Included in the box is a weaver/picatinny rail mount and a T-10 Torx wrench, so you can attach it to your carbine if you choose. Also included is a CR2032 battery, lens cloth, flathead wrench, and protective cover to ensure that this mini red dot sight is ready to go right out of the box. All you need to do is attach it to your favorite pistol and head to the range.

No Good
by Maxbob
This has locking set screws in the back. So on your handgun the rear sight is in the way blocking you from zeroing the optic. Vortex obviously isn't very bright.
Outstanding Pistol RDS
by Blake
So whoever 1-star rated this sight either pays zero attention when ordering optics or doesn't understand the concept of a trade-off. This sight is substantially more low-profile than something like the RMR and the cost of that is needing reticle locking screws in the back. Does it make zeroing the optic *slightly* more work? Yes, but you only have to do that once. Rating this at 1-star over that is just ridiculous.

<br>I personally can't stand the way the RMR looks so I was looking for a suitable replacement. With Vortex's outstanding reputation and warranty program they were an obvious choice. This optic is low profile, built like a tank, has easy-to-manipulate controls, a perfectly-sized dot, and quality glass. I'm running it on a custom milled G19 slide with Heinie optic-compatible irons. You really can't go wrong with this sight.
Lifetime warranty no good when breaks consistently
by MICHAEL
Vortex may offer a warranty on their products but it's no good when it doesn't hold a zero or dies. This was the case after 6 months of range shooting. Unacceptable.
Before you buy mid-tier please look at Vortex. High end for mid grade price

Best moa for the money. I put one on my 10mm as well as 5.56. Set and walk away. So easy my 12yr old can mount it and zero it in for. And yes for the low profile I compared it to the Leopold and others. The glass used is damn near the same. German qlty but assembled in Vietnam. But profits come to the U.S. based company. Bar none the best scope and warranty for the money paid. You would have to pay 2-3times more for something as equal. I wasn't hip on Votex till I tried. I showed to other gun enthusiasts. They to agree with my take
