Mounted this on an AR with a 45 degree offset mount. All I can say is this sight is dead on. Sighted in at 50 yards and hits what I aim at. Easy to use and small size is great as a back up to my primary sight
Good budget sight

This is a good sight for a budget. The auto feature works well. I have it mounted on a canik tp9sa mod2. So far it has held zero through a few hundred rounds. I’ll probably get a 6 moa in the future and move this one to a rifle. It’s my first red dot so I didn’t want to spend too much in case I didn’t like it or my slight astigmatism would case problems, which it hasn’t.
Great Optic, but one minor problem

First of all, I absolutely love my Vortex Venom. I have it mounted on a Romanian AKM build and holds up with no issues undergoing ~300 Rounds of 7.62x39. The dot itself is crisp and comes with an adjustment tool that also helps remove the battery cover.
Now onto the only negative I have: the battery cover. It can become a little tedious to install the battery. The cap wouldn’t properly thread until I took out the little rubber gasket glued on the underside of the cap. I manually positioned in between the battery and the cap and had a much easier time installing the battery cap. For me, this personally isn’t a dealbreaker by any means, which is why I still rate this a 5 star. This is just something that everyone should know, but shouldn’t necessarily be deterred by it.
