Great gas block if it came finished...

by -

Having never bought/used adjustable gas blocks before I didn’t know what to except. Starting off it has a good look to it, solid and light weight. Once I started putting the set screws in place I noticed that the gas adjustment screw has a set screw to keep it in place which is nice so it won’t back out on me but will make adjusting it on the go a pain. Not like I’ll be running this particular gun suppressed so no biggie. After the dry fit of all the set screws I noticed that the gas tube hole seems too shallow to allow a standard spec tube to be secured in place. It bottoms out keeping it from going into place. I’ll be contacting PA or WMD Guns to see if they get a lot of complaints on the WMD gas block

Block had a block

I bought this gas block for a pistol build utilizing a carbine length gas system. When I attempted to insert the gas tube I quickly found that it would not seat all the way. After shining a light down the hole I found it to have some sort of build up in the bottom of the gas tube hole. 2mins worth of scraping with a dental pick and I had the tube and pin inserted with ease. Took the gun to tune and had it set within 8 rounds. I have since shot 200+ rounds through the gun and have yet to see any of the screws move. Only reason for 4 stars was the chalk like build up in the gas tube hole.

2 different screws...?

Ordered one for an AR-47 pistol build that will sometimes be suppressed. It works exactly as it should and seems to be very durable and well made. Comes with an adjustment screw (as expected) and a set screw to hold it in whatever position it needs to be in to regulate the gas. My only issue is the set screw to hold the adjustment screw in place is basically microscopic. If you think you have a small enough Allen wrench..... you don’t. I had to use an all wrench designed for taking cell phones apart (yeah, so tiny you can barely see it). I get what they were going for but it bothers me the set screw and the adjustment screw aren’t the same size so I don’t have to take 2 different tiny Allen wrenches to adjust the gas block when I need to. If you don’t need to adjust it often or ever then it’s probably fine but if that’s the case why get one that’s adjustable???

Does not fit on a .750 journal

by -

Couldn’t get it more than 1-2mm on the journal. I measured it and it was between .748 and .750 inner diameter. Most of the gas blocks I had on hand measures around .754 or more.

Way to too right and won’t work.

We are happy that we spoke to you about this and the other issue. Please let us know if there is anything else we may help you with.

Good design poor quality screws

by -

Got this gas block to put on an AR308 build. First time using an adjustable. Like all my build parts before install was attempted I cleaned everything using a good solvent to try to remove any manufacturing debris or greases from packing. Started dry fitting all the screws. When putting in the smallest set screw (holding the gas adjustment screw) I encountered a slight resistance which I thought was it contacting the adjustment screw. When I checked for tightness the adjustment screw it was still loose. I attempted to tighten the set screw a little more and it stripped. This is an allen type screw with a tiny .05" wrench. It didn't damage my wrench but now I cannot back it out or tighten it further. Do not recommend this block due to quality control issues. FYI wrenches are not included.

Problems seem to be solved.

I've used two of these and did not run into any of the problems with buildup keeping the gas tube from seating properly or with fit. Both blocks were clean and worked, adjusted, and stayed adjusted as they should. At this price point you really can't go wrong, even if a little cleaning was necessary. Do yourself a favor and save your money by buying one of these, instead of one of the more expensive ones. You can apply the saved money towards a better barrel or trigger.

As a side note, remember to have fun when you're shooting, because if you ain't having fun you ain't doing it right.

Poor QC

I read some of the bad reviews on this adjustable gas block and still bought it hoping for a different experience. Not the case. Went to put the adjustment screw in and the hole wasn’t tapped all the way through so I basically had to force the screw in. That was a big mistake because it went so far in that it got stuck and when I went to extract it it stripped the hex head and now it’s stuck in the gas block not even to the gas port hole. So it’s just a regular ass gas block now. Would not recommend.

Note: We see that your return was completed and we got you taken care of on that issue with the gas block. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else.

Inside diameter needed some sanding to fit but it works

by -

Would not fit over my Roscoe barrel. I needed to hand sand the inside of this with my finger for a but to get it to fit. I have test fired it and now need to adjust it some and not sure why the picture up there shows 4 set screws, the tiny one locks it down... the other 3? I will have to take apart and see it all those are in it, if you need to remove the first set crew to access others? There are no directions. I know its simple but a simple drawing or instructions would be nice.
