WMD guns is most notably know for their proprietary Nib-X coating that they put on anything from bolt carrier groups to barrel extensions, and triggers. This Nickel Boron finish is extremely hard and smooth making it great for components that experience a lot of friction during use. Well, now you can get a 9mm AR-15 pistol that features this Nickel Boron finish on not only those important parts, but on almost every single metal surface. Other than the obvious, this WMD 9mm AR Pistol features a 5.5” match grade barrel made from Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel. The barrel is salt bath Nitrided but the extension is Nib-X coated for smooth function with the Nib-X BCG. The free float handguard features M-LOK attachment slots and extends to the very end of the barrel where the compensator is attached. The handguard is machined from 6061 aluminum while the receivers are made from 7075 aluminum and of course, all three are Nib-X coated. A Nickel Boron gun is a happy gun.

My observations

by -

1-Appears to be a solid build
2-Package arrived at FFL with absolutely no padding, left to bounce around in an oversized box. The FFL was concerned and went as far as to urge me to test fire before any sort of warranty ran out. I'm not impressed at all with the care shown for what I paid.
3-WMD stats Magpul 9mm glock magazines are recommended. I order 3 21 round mags and loaded each to max. Magazine will not lock in place while bolt is closed. I removed 1 round each to see if that'd work. After several slaps the mag locked in. This could be problematic in certain circumstances. However for my purposes it not a bug deal. I have several other self defense weapons that operate flawlessly.
All just my initial thoughts.
