AERO PRECISION GUIDE
Aero Precision got their start in the aerospace industry, where accuracy and consistency are of the greatest importance. As they made their move to the AR-15 market, their experience in the aerospace industry helped them quickly rise to dominance.
Their high quality matched upper and lower receiver sets, AR 10 components, and exceptional M4E1 or M5E1 enhanced receivers are some of the best in the business. That’s not all though. They make some of the lightest scope mounts and red dot mounts on the market, as well as ergonomic and lightweight free float handguards compatible with AR15s or DPMS pattern AR-308s.
Aero Precision Lower and Upper Receivers
While a lower may not be the absolute most important part of an AR 15, that’s no reason to skimp out. Whether you’re seeking the custom look and feel of a billet lower or want the tried and true strength of a forged lower, they have an option for you.
Like their uppers and handguards, every Aero lower is taken the next level. Even Aero’s basic lowers have flared magazine wells for faster and more reliable magazine insertion, as well as upper tension screws to get a perfect, rattle free fit with almost any upper receiver on the market.
Combine these features with impeccable machining, smooth finishes, and clean roll marks and you have a lower that feels better, looks better, and will last longer. Not even left-handed shooters are left out, as can be seen with the ambidextrous lower, equipped with a factory installed PDQ ambi bolt release.
For those who want more from their lower, Aero offers the M4E1 and M5E1. The M4E1 boasts multiple improvements over traditional lowers, including a threaded bolt catch roll pin and takedown pin hole for easy installation, as well as an integrated and winterized trigger guard for enhanced strength.
The magwell has also been given a more notable flare for faster, more confident magazine changes. The milled-in selector markings are also fully compatible with your favorite short throw safeties, as well as traditional MIL-SPEC options.
While some brands may treat MIL-SPEC as their standard, Aero goes beyond to build receivers with incredible strength, precision, and modularity.
These one-piece enhanced billet upper receivers uniquely feature the handguard’s mounting surface as a solid part of the upper, rather than on a separate barrel nut for significantly increased strength over standard upper/handguard arrangements, as well as decreased deflection due to pressure.
This integrated system is compatible with popular BAR-type rails, allowing for a variety of ergonomic and modular handguards to be selected, including options compatible with KeyMod or M-LOK. An upper receiver is a great start to any build.
Aero Precision Free Float Handguards
They make a variety of free float handguards to suit nearly any build. They offer options that include the old workhorse M1913 Picatinny quad rails as well as the new industry standard KeyMod or M-LOK modular systems that allow you to save weight without sacrificing the accessories you want.
Aero enhanced rails have an ergonomic 1.78” inside diameter, perfect for larger hands or for the integral look of a partially covered 1.5” suppressor. Gen 2 features include a new profile on the full length top rail, integrated QD sockets, and new milling patterns for enhanced grip and aesthetics.
The Quantum series rails are designed to minimize bulk while offering remarkable flexibility with KeyMod or M-LOK slots available on 7 surfaces. For those who prefer a ‘less is more’ approach, Aero’s latest handguard is the ATLAS (Aero Taper Lock Attachment System).
The ATLAS-S and ATLAS-R rails weigh in at as little as 4.76oz, but utilize a new mirrored ratcheting mounting system, providing even pressure on the mounting nut to prevent distortion or movement of the handguard. The narrower 1.5” external diameter is an excellent fit for most shooters, yet the design still allows for seamless mounting to Aero’s threaded M4E1 uppers, as well as any MIL-SPEC AR15 upper on the market.
Aero Precision Scope Mounts
Even the best scope and rifle can be held back by a bad mount, so they make some of the best -- and lightest -- mounts in the business to ensure you are never weighed down. Their scope mounts are machined with exacting care from 6061-T6 aluminum and are offered in a variety of different ring heights and spacings to get the perfect fit for your scope and rifle.
Unlike traditional scope rings, Aero’s Ultralight scope mounts use a two-piece hinged ring design that allows for even distribution of force around the entire scope, while also eliminating unnecessary bulk. With options for 1”, 30mm, or 34mm rifle scopes, as well as popular 30mm red dots, Aero mounts are both incredibly lightweight and rigid.
Aero Precision Rifles
Complete rifles are the perfect choice for those who want to skip the trouble of building out their own receiver and want to buy a quality rifle outright. Every rifle is assembled by an experienced professional gunsmith and tested before it is shipped. For those on a budget, Aero’s AC-15 ships ready-to-rock straight out of the box, including a 30-round magazine and sights.
Despite the rifle’s humble looks, it’s made with the same care and precision as every Aero product, ensuring a level of quality and features on an entry level rifle that many manufacturers can’t match.
For someone looking to step up their game, the M4E1 rifle combines the M4E1 components mentioned above with Magpul stocks and grips to create a high quality, ergonomic, and easy-to-shoot rifle, with a soft shooting Mid-length gas system, effective A2 flash hider, and durable 41V50 chrome moly vanadium steel barrel.
Aero Precision is based in Tacoma, Washington, where their dedication to quality has led them to build a state-of-the-art facility. After all, they strongly believe that better engineering builds better components and it’s hard to argue with their results.
With the latest rail-guided robotic equipment, horizontal machining centers, and advanced monitoring devices to maintain their exacting specifications, they are constantly pushing for technical perfection, whether building components for aircraft or the most popular rifle in America.
