Battle Arms Development EKG AK Trigger Kit

First off, I ordered this on Thursday night, and Primary Arms had it here Monday!
I installed this trigger in a Zastava ZPAP85, which had a lite, smooth trigger, It was just a rather long pull, and I just could never stage it, to know when it was going to fire, and it left me tense waiting for the Bang! Just installed and fired 10 rounds with this EKG, and I believe it fixes my issue, there is a slight wall where I can stage and know when it is going to fire. A Small thing really, but it bothered me. I was rather amazed how easy it was to install. Took me about 15 min. and I have never attempted a AK trigger change.

I installed this on a ZPAP M70 (2021) and it did require about 10 minutes of filing the side of the trigger itself, as it's a hundredth of an inch too wide for the existing trigger hole. Pins line up perfectly and no modification to the gun itself, so I'm happy. Reset is quite a bit shorter with a noticeable wall before it goes bang; has a borderline "two-stage" feel to it. Has worked perfectly so far!

Wanted improvement over Tapco G2. Not disappointed. No its not a range queen trigger. Great hunting and tactical trigger. Slight travel then a light wall with a crisp 3.5 to 4 lbs break. Short audible reset. Best of all, no binding on the bolt at the halfway point. The guys at Battle Arms are great, more than willing to talk to you. Before I installed mine I lightly polished it. No grinding, just a Dremel with a fine wire wheel to remove coating off contact points then a cotton wheel with some polishing compound. Very pleased !

With all the Romanian kits floating around, I was looking for a trigger for to finish some builds and had already put the ALG trigger in one so I figured I would try a EKG. And was definitely surprised after my usual trigger polish and install the action and trigger pull were smooth as butter. Definitely a keeper. Picked a couple up on sale and couldn't be happier.

Installed in my old wasr 10/63 to replace old tapco trigger. Much better trigger pull and reset. Added a vortex optic I was surprised at the tight groups I could get. Smoothed out the action of the rifle as well since the hammer has a nice curve to it allowing bolt to glide easier over hammer.

I bought this BA trigger kit to replace a Century Arms trigger group on a SAR-1 AKM. The kid installed quickly and without problems. I did not find any issues at the range as the trigger worked flawlessly.

1st of all, Primary Arms had it in stock, good price, and got it to me fast. Easy to install, fit and finish was good, and function is really nice. Pros: takes out a lot of travel before the wall, lite pull, kind of crisp break, and the reset is short(not AR or Glock short but much better than factory and other manufacturers). Cons: trigger has a little wobble due to the sleeve around the trigger pin not being tighter around the pin, pull could be a little smoother but not a deal breaker at all, and would have liked it to be more flat faced like the ALG triggers. Only real complaint would be the wobble. At PA’s price point, customer service, and the function, this trigger is definitely worth getting

Trigger was too wide for my Yugo receiver. Wouldn’t fit.
