THEY GOT THIS RIGHT

I did not get a chance to feel the grip before I purchased it because I was solely relying on the reputation of Magpul for making great accessories for rifles. Installation was very simple on my Molot Vepr, and took me about 5 minutes if that. It even comes with a little tool for you to secured it into place. It feels very good in your hands and is a much greater improvement over the stock AK grip that was integrated into the wooden stock. I also went ahead and purchased the Magpul Zhukov folding stock ( sorry Primary Arms, I didn't get it from you guys because it was out of stock at the time), and they make a great combination. For the folding stock just be aware that you will have to file the insert down and purchase a receiver adapter in order to use it with a Vepr that has a slanted receiver entrance.
Overall this pistol grip is most definitely a no-brainer if you have an AK..

A small change from the original, but a huge improvement

So, we all know that the standard AK grip is awful and ridiculously small, no one likes it unless you’re an AK purest nerd or a child soldier who’s hand fits it perfectly. For the rest of us who enjoy shooting AKs we’ve needed a decent upgrade for years. Thankfully the good people at Magpul came up with their original grip upgrade which was a huge improvement. With the small change of rubberizing this design they’ve again made a huge improvement. It gives you even more control over the rifle than before. It’s a huge improvement for the weapon for such a small price. There’s literally no reason not to get one.
