The Primary Arms 4-14x44mm rifle scope was the first step into first focal plane (FFP) optics and remains one of the most cost-effective options on the market. Having a reticle stay 'true' through the entire magnification range opens a world of possibility for hunters, marksman, and competitors everywhere. Add in "built like a tank" construction and a lifetime warranty, and it's easy to see why this scope is so popular.

At the heart of the 4-14x44mm rifle scope is the first focal plane MIL-DOT reticle. Properly matched with MIL/MIL turret adjustments, this traditional reticle in use by military forces in almost every country allows shooters to range and find their hold overs without being forced to use caliber specific BDC systems. Each dot is .25 MILs with a full MIL measured from the center of one dot to the next. For shooters who want a proven reticle with wide spread military acceptance, the MIL-DOT is perfect for you.
A scope that won’t hold up to real world use won’t do any good, so they built the 4-14x44mm FFP tactical rifle scope to last with a heavy-duty aircraft grade 6063 aluminum body and 30mm main tube. Waterproof, shockproof, and fog resistant, this scope is perfectly at home on an AR-15 or your favorite hunting rifle. Even better, the MIL/MIL turrets track correctly through their full 17.5 MIL adjustment range, allowing for confident adjustments for shooters who prefer to count their clicks. With clear glass, heavy duty construction, and a true first focal plane reticle that can be leveraged at every magnification, the 4-14x44mm rifle scope from Primary Arms offers shooters a versatile and effective rifle scope, covered by a lifetime warranty!

4-14X44 FFP scope
by 56type
Glass is clear as is reticule at all magnification settings. Clicks are a bit "soft" but definitely audible. Paralllax focus works as intended. This one is going on a 5.56 SPR so i can't speak to durability under harsh recoil but it appears to be solidly built. Will most likely be ordering another one for my FAL.
Great advice, fair prices and quality products

Thanks to David and some wise advice, I bought what would be best for my needs. Shipping was fast and no hassles were the theme for the whole process. I will most definitely use Primary Arms for future glass and other products they sell. A1 across the board!
Seems like a good scope for the money
by Eric Sommer
... but you typically get what you pay for, and that seems true in this case as well. I wanted the opportunity to try out a FFP mil/mil scope without the commitment of big bucks, which is how I ended up with this scope. Seems to be built well, but I haven't shot it yet due to IN weather. The glass is decent, but the turrets are pretty mushy and the eye relief can be finicky, especially at higher powers. I look forward to testing it's tracking capabilities and learning how to run a FFP scope. For a beginner's scope, I don't see how you could go wrong.
What have I been missing...

...makes me feel like a moron. Been using Zeiss, Leupold and Nikon's for 20 years now and I finally came to my senses.GET THE SCOPE. CANCEL YOUR HIGH DOLLAR ORDER ON THAT NEW BLAH BLAH BLAH SCOPE AND AT LEAST TRY A PRIMARY ARMS SCOPE. Don't like it, send it to me.
Wowwwwww!

Absolutely phenomenal! Glass is super clear, crisp reticle, great audible turrets and VERY bright. Superior to anything I've owned sub-$700. I'm completely blown away. Took .308 recoil all day like a champ! Threw it on my Rem 700 5R as a temporary FFP scope until I upgrade but....not sure I'll upgrade now! Easily same quality as a piece double it's price. I'd highly recommend it.

Added to Cart on 4/5/13 received on 4/8/13. Awesome!Installed this unit on a one piece Armalite mount for my Armalite AR10. Zero'ed this unit with 5 shots (Yes, I am an amateur). Eye relief could be a bit better, but for 230 bucks, I would buy another one.

Although I have not gotten to the range yet-your prompt service was great. The scopemounted easily to my Bushmaster and the construction and clarity appear to be very good.
the best scope! not just because of its value
by Chad stenger
Amazing scope! You get what you order, I mean that everything works as it should or even would on much more expensive scopes! At this price and quality of product why would you get another scope? The only reason I would buy another scope would be if I had 1000$ to spend on a scope because that is what you are going to pay to get a better scope

As always PA is always great. Ordered over phone and easy to do. Scope was ordered about 3 o'clock Friday and came on monday. That's with regular shipping. Scope is best for price. Sighted in so easy. Tracks.flawless. sighted at 100 yds and set up still target at 370 yds. 1st 2 shots on target and 11/16" group.
Much better than expected...I was impressed

As budget scopes go, this thing is pretty amazing. I own several high dollar precision scopes and wanted a first focal plane, mil/mil scope for my hunting rifle since that's what I'm used to. The glass is very clear, even at full magnification. The scope seems to track accurately in the box test and hold zero on my lightweight hunting .308. Construction is solid but not overly heavy. My only complaint (and it is VERY minor) is that the ether box is a bit narrow but for the money, this thing is awesome. I could have spent double and gotten a lot less. First focal plane reticle was the icing on the cake.
