This Radical Firearms 5.56 Barreled Upper features a 16-inch 5.56 NATO SOCOM profile barrel with a mid-length gas system and a 15-inch Gen 3 RPR handguard. The installed BMD muzzle brake enhances recoil control. Features a low-profile .750 gas block. This upper does not include a bolt carrier group or charging handle. The barrel is threaded with a 1/2x28 pitch and features a 1 in 7 rate of twist for optimal performance, as well as a melonite finish, for durability and corrosion resistance. The free float M-LOK compatible handguard is comfortable and promotes excellent heat dissipation.

Worth it

This upper assembly is 100% worth picking up. Mine has been nothing but reliable, functioning flawlessly with multiple types of ammo. There is "cheap" and there's "inexpensive". I topped mine with a Primary Arms LPVO and it is as accurate as I'm able to shoot. This, so far, has been a "inexpensive" quality item that I have no problem, or reservations recommending. Hope this review helps you with your decision to purchase...I think you'll be happy you did.

I've built on Radical Firearms products from 'way back when they used to sell stripped lowers. Never had one problem with any of their products. When an opportunity came to snag a Radical upper for half-price, you can bet that I bought two (the limit)! Already built one it's a tack-driver. Love Radical Firearms products!!!

I bought this upper during black Friday sales 2023. I've tried putting both 223rem and 556nato (multiple grains and multiple brands) and the rifle is poorly gassed. The bolt is pushed back enough to eject the spent casing, but not far enough to catch the next round. Our of the 200 rounds I've put through this so far, only about 45 have properly cycled the rifle
