Not compatible with OEM mags!
by Chris K -
I bought two of these mag releases along with a couple of the Shield Arms 15rd G43x metal magazines. They installed as easily as the OEM mag release and function great with the Shield mags. However, when I tried the OEM Glock polymer magazine in the gun it locked in place and I had to pry the magazine out! I tried a second gun and it had the same problem. The polymer mag became stuck in the gun! For this reason I would emphasize that the Shield metal mag release IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OEM GLOCK MAGAZINES.
Awesome

Fits like factory. Works with factory mags but being steel on polymer can wear mag out. I upgraded to the 15rd shield arms mag for 43x and love it. Now to order another mag. The fit and finish on the mag release is spot on. Looks factory which I like. Dont need to make it stand out. Highly recommend!
Not OEM magazine compatible
by Nathan -
I recently purchased this mag release in order to eventually purchase the 15 round magazines. Upon install, I very quickly discovered they are not at all compatible with OEM magazines despite what the description says. In fact, so incompatible that not only did they jam, they also did damage to my gun’s frame. I looked at the shield arms website afterwards and they have warnings all over the page about not using OEM magazines with this release. Buyer beware.
