Quality as I've come to expect from PA

Primary arms sent me this to replace a larger switch that didn't work. It works well with my surefire G2.
Service was great!! Product was even better!!!

Not bad for the price. Quality is questionable.

I bought this tape switch this past Thanksgiving 2017 sale. I recently switched from my old Surefire M951 to the compact light to save some weight while also saving money on my personal weapon.
Pros
- Affordable
- A little beefier than their old pressure pads (Gen 1 had some cheap ones that barely worked on the PA weapon light I previously bought a few years back)
- It has texture so your fingers/thumbs get a good contact feel
- Cable is pretty thick so I don't see it tearing apart anytime soon
Cons
- The rubber/silicone type material over the pressure pad does not allow me to put any type of double sided tape to attach hook-n-loop for Velcro attachments (even heavy duty 3M would not stick)
- The cable does not rotate freely like Surefires do
- The pressure pad material moves around like those cheap silicone phone cases and are not stiff at all (may tear over time)
Not quite there yet...

It is a "eh" quality switch... It is only "Momentary On", there is no "Stay On" feature (probably a function of the weapon light though). The pad is small and has a weak rubbery feel (time will tell how it holds up) and while it has a nice click sound when activating, it just does not feel right. The switch does not come with any attach features. My Streamlight switch (which came with my Protac Rail Mount HL-X for the same price as the PA weapon light only) is much better - Momentary On, Stay On and Strobe features, tougher feeling rubber pad, and it came with zip ties and tape to attach to my rifle. Sorry for the tough review, but this PA product just does not meet muster, especially given the price :(
Decent switch for a very good light!

Decent tape switch for a very good budget light from PA.
Pros
- Affordable
- Tough/thick wiring
- Wire end cap has cone shape for durbaility.
- Very good tactile click when pressed that's still quiet.
- Doesn't feel cheap like other budget pressure switches included with budget lights on the market.
Cons
- Silicone/rubber cover over tape switch does not easily allow tape (3M outdoor tape wouldn't even stick) to attach to the material.
- Depending where your tape switch is positioned, the wire may not be long enough.
- Wire cam be too thick to manipulate into position and not easy like Surefire.
