Description and Specifications

The Troy mid length Delta BattleRail is a revolutionary free-float, modular, drop in rail system for AR-15s with mid length gas systems. This rail requires no modification to the host firearm, requires no gunsmithing to install, and free floats the barrel for improved accuracy. It features two integral QD swivel mounts, and offers the option of an extended forearm while allowing the user to maintain the factory fixed front sight post. Like the rest of Troy's new drop-in free-float rails, the Delta BattleRail utilizes a brand-new and rock solid rotary clamping system that does not require the removal of the delta ring, barrel nut, or fixed front sight. Much like the Alpha rail, the Delta BattleRail features rounded cooling holes that double as mounting points for additional rail sections for adding accessories. These cooling holes will also accept the new Squid Grips! The Troy Industries Mid Length Delta BattleRail is manufactured from 6061 T6 hardened aircraft grade aluminum and MIL-SPEC Type III hard coat anodized in matte black.

Nice mid-length rail w/ FSB cut out

Solid mid-length rail with FSB cut out. Easy to install and super fast shipment from Primary Arms!

Great drop-in rail

This is the best option for a drop in rail IMHO. Installed in about 10 minutes. Rock solid, slim profile and free floated too. The space for the front sight tower might get in the way if you're trying to use a c clamp grip depending on the length of your arm. Worth the money.

Troy Free Float Rail

Very easy to install with a very solid feel. This is great for someone looking for an extended rail who likes a fixed front sight post.

One little fix...
Ben from TX wrote on August 10, 2015:

This rail setup is great, installs in minutes and is rock solid. I expect nothing less from Troy. The only little thing I'd change is the rail section covering the bayonet lug/sling point. I'd rather it was smooth like the sides around the gas block/sight. Still I have switched my EDC gun to this setup and love it. Thanks PA!

Awesome rail

I have a Bravo Co. 14.5" barrel with a mid length gas system. Since I have a welded flash, it was hard finding a full float, 2 piece mid length extended rail. Not only did I find it in the Troy rail, it's an awesome rail to boot. The diameter is great when shooting for keeping a nice positive grip and feel on the front end. Keeping the delta ring isn't a bad option either as its always best to have the option to go back if needed. Personally, I won't be going back to a drop in system. I couldn't be happier with this Troy battle rail.

Excellent rail

a little sharp cuts but pretty easy to put on and use. Just wish they included rail sections with it.

Thumbs Up

This is a great rail if you have a standard front sight post and don't want to or can't change it out. Installation is super easy. The handguard is sturdy and feels strong but it does flex a bit. Its advertised as a free float but if you don't cut your bayonet lug there is a good chance it will make contact there. If you have longer arms like me the rail gives you a good bit more real estate to grab on to. Also, great service and price from Primary Arms, I get why everyone speaks so highly of these guys!

Very sturdy

It took me a good while to install this rail. It's a good rail and machined very well. It was slightly frustrating to get on the rifle (took me an hour) but after it was on, it feels really good.

Excellent

Cake to install, seems to be rock solid. Comes in on my postal scale at 13.7oz.
