Its connection to the upper receiver through a robust steel barrel nut ensures a consistent point of impact, particularly when using an infrared laser aiming device under load.

Note: The MOD 4 Handguards are optimized for Aero Precision’s M4E1 Threaded Upper Receivers and PRO series components but are also compatible with Mil-Spec AR-15 upper receivers.

Installation is straightforward, thanks to a barrel nut design that eliminates the need for timing and works with a castle nut wrench, removing the requirement for specialized tools. Two anti-rotation set screws further secure the handguard, providing a snug fit even with third-party upper receivers.
