The Aero Precision Gen 2 Stripped AR-15 Lower Receiver in FDE is the perfect foundation for your next build. This stripped lower receiver features 7075-T6 forged aluminum construction with a Magpul FDE Cerakote finish that looks great and provides added durability and protection. The Gen 2 Stripped AR-15 Lower Receiver is machined to mil-spec, making it compatible with all mil-spec AR-15 parts and accessories. It features a flared magwell for easier magazine changes and an integrated trigger guard for added convenience. The grip tang is machined for a nylon-tipped upper tensioning screw, which ensures a tight fit when assembled with an upper receiver. While not required for assembly, the takedown detent hole is threaded for a 4-40 set screw allowing the takedown spring and detent to be installed without a carbine end plate or rifle stock (screw not included).

Perfect finish and fit with a Spike's lower kit / G2S trigger. Zero slop with an Aero FDE upper.
Nice receiver

This thing is bad ass. I wanted to go with something that was different from the normal black receivers, and I've always seen how much people rave about Aero Precision, so I gave this a shot. I got a matching upper for it, and the set is super nice. Great machining, nice color. Got the matching trigger guard and it's on the way to becoming my new favorite build. The set is a lot lighter than my spikes build with a bcm upper. I don't get the point in spending $199+ on just a lower, when you can get something this nice with an upper for less. Just buy this.

Would have been 5 stars but the color was wrong. I wasn't FDE, wasn't even scorched dark earth. I have an Aero Precision M4E1 upper in FDE and it's obviously different. Went ahead and put it together, everything fit flawlessly.

Some years ago I found these Gen2s on sale, and bought a couple for my first AR builds. The Gen2s and I believe the newer M4e also has the adjustable set screw to minimize the shake/slop in fits between upper and lower. Did you want parts made with specs and inspections from Aero Industry people? I do, and keep ordering them with great success in fit, finish, and overall quality. Thank You PA!!!

It’s the typical quality you can expect from Aero. My LPK fit perfectly, no slack/wobble anywhere. Roll pins went in with no problems. FDE matches my Magpul stock. Great lower. Would buy again.
Uneven coating, aero customer service sub par

I purchased this lower as a combo with the FDE stripped upper, as a positive i can say that the price was a great deal.
From PA: We're sorry that you had this issue. We'd be happy to contact Aero for you to help get this resolved.
Upon building the lower I found that the FDE coating was uneven and too thick on the magazine catch insert. I tried three different LPK including one made my Aero, none of them worked (the magazine catch wouldn't insert far enough to catch the magazine, and if it was forced it would bind up and not move freely).
I contact customer service at Aero several weeks ago and opened a help ticket, they asked for pictures then went MIA. I have tried to contact them with no response.
This is my 4th Aero lower, great luck with the other 3 but beware that the finish on this product may be uneven to the point of effecting gun functionality and if you have an issue do not expect a quick response.

Great lower as usual. The Magpul FDE is a match, the BCM trigger guard is not the same shade. Just, FYI.
