well built BUT

by -

I bought 2 of these one was perfect worked and looked good the other had a problem from the start the front pivot pin would not unlock and you could see the elongated detent hole where it had been forced after assembly. I was instructed to tap the pin until it came unlocked I did and finally the detent sheared. I replaced the detent and made this a permanent pistol for now. If needed later i will just replace the lower with a stripped lower using that one for parts.

A few surprises

by -

First surprise, the trigger. I was expecting a gritty, sloppy kind of base level. I got surprised by the "at the wall" contact and CRISP release with SHORT predictable reset. Not Geissele-esque, but a damn sight better than others "mil-spec" I own.
Surprise Two. The front pivot pin. I had to get a punch and hammer to get it open. The detent goes DEAD LOCK in detent recess when pushed in. Not once, but every bloody time. The recess hole seems "deeper" and the detent buries itself almost half way in. I took out the detent and spring (went old school noncaptive pivot pin). Surprise Three, just how well it mated to several other uppers (without using detent) very positive lockup, minimum wiggle with no "Accu-wedge" or shims needed. I bought it on sale and it has proven to be worth the price. It is destined to be a test mule for various uppers and calibers. MSgt USAF '73-'95 S.E.A to the Sandbox Thank you

Awesome Product

I have purchased 10 of your lowers and all have been flawless . I purchase at least 2-5 when they are on sale keep up the excellent work .

Love it - but ONE note

by

Picked this up on sale for $99 on Memorial Day. Love the build quality, the trigger is CRISP, and it mated with my upper great. HOWEVER, as the two other reviews also mention, the front pivot pin detent is STRONG. I didn't need to hammer it, but I did have to put it flat on a bench and press my weight onto it with a block to get it open. Definitely not something to swap easily or often. Other than that though, incredibly satisfied and worth picking up (especially for the sale price).

Cost vs Quality

Very pleased with this product, saftey is a little tight but with use it will settle in. Highly recommended.
