The Battle Arms Development OIP Ultra Lightweight AR-15 rifle is designed to be as ligh as possible without sacrificing reliability or durability. Weighing in at only 4.6 pounds, the OIP Gen 3 5.56 AR-15 took many years and multiple patents to get to where it is today. It features a proprietary buffer system designed to function perfectly with their lightweight titanium bolt carrier group for a fast cycling action with low reciprocating mass helping to reduce muzzle rise. Another addition to the rifle that helps to mitigate muzzle rise is the titanium Thumper muzzle brake and a custom mid-length gas system that has been meticulously tuned for performance. This Battle Arms Development lightweight AR15 is durable and takes the survival rifle concept to a whole new level.

The receivers are machined from high strength 7075-T6 aluminum that has been milled to reduce weight and is fitted with a ton of Titanium components including the ambidextrous bolt catch/release and magazine release. Additionally it comes with the Rack ambidextrous charging handle, and carbon fiber furniture to further reduce weight.
