Details
For those wanting an uncompromised bolt action rifle for extreme long range precision shooting, The Modern Precision Rifle from Christensen Arms chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor is one product that shouldn’t be overlooked. The Christensen Arms MPR is built around a custom action with AICS magazine compatibility and custom features like an oversized bolt knob and skeletonized handle. Additional features included with this action are a tactical magazine release, 20 MOA rail, and a flat faced match-grade trigger. The action is dropped into the MPR chassis machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and desert brown anodized and features a 17” carbon fiber handguard and cheek comb. The handguard features M-LOK attachment slots and the fully adjustable stock can be folded for transport. The lightweight chassis combined with the 26” carbon fiber barrel brings this precision rifle up to a mere 8.4 lbs.
Features:
The 26” 6.5 Creedmoor barrel features a 416R stainless steel core and wrapped in carbon fiber for improved heat management and consistent barrel harmonics. The barrel is free floated in the receiver and features a match chamber, hand lapped bore, and is button rifled. The stainless steel side baffle brake is designed to reduce recoil and keep the muzzle flat. The twin lug bolt is spiral fluted, and Nitride treated for an extremely smooth action.
Additional features of the Christensen Arms MPR are standard AR-15 pistol grip compatibility, an M16 style extractor, 6 QD Flushcup Sling mounts, and is compatible with picatinny mount monopods. This rifle is backed by the Christensen Arms Sub-MOA Guarantee.
Christensen Arms was founded in Utah in 1995 when it branched off from the aerospace industry to pursue a patent on carbon fiber rifle barrels. Christensen Arms was the first to develop the carbon fiber rifle barrel and opened the door to innovation in the firearms industry and continues to do so with their increasing line of high quality products.
