Details

The Expo Arms AR-15 Enhanced Handguard features one of the most durable barrel nut locking mechanisms on the market. The wedge lock design provides a greater surface area for keeping the handguard attached to the longer barrel nut and significantly reduces the chance of the handguard from twisting or coming loose. In addition to this enhanced attachment method, the handguard is machined from thick 6061-T6 aluminum with alternating M-LOK slots that increase rigidity while still giving you plenty of options for setting up your rifle with whatever accessories you need. The slim design helps to reduce weight when compared to quad rail designs while the full length top rail gives you the ability to attach mission critical accessories like iron sights or laser modules that need to remain zeroed. The top rail also features t-markings, so you can easily identify what position your accessories are slotted at when reconfiguring your weapon. This 15" version is great for building a 16" rifle with a mid-length gas system.

The wedgelock I prefer

This is kind of the wedgelock rail I’ve been waiting for—7 sides mlok, minimal venting, but to me cleaner looks a la DDM4v7 rail. Mated up to Icon defense upper with pin and the fitment on barrel nut was as tight or tighter than BCM MCMR. Used with Sionics barrel and gas block, and can’t use a very grip directly under, but that’s not a big deal. Replaced Solgw m89 rail with this, kind of for weight savings and it definitely is lighter with the midweight barrel, but the m89 is fantastic too. This may be my favorite rail of all…

Rock solid handguard!
I needed durability and rigidity for mounting a thermal clip on in front of daytime optic but also wanted mlok slots on all 7 sides not just 3,6,9 o’clock. The Expo Arms Enhanced handguard fit the bill perfectly. While I did Cerakote it a different color the black anodized finish out of the box was excellent and had a great feel in the hand almost like a velvety feel but metal. Paired with a Forward Controls Design billet upper receiver, Triarc Systems Track 2.0 16” barrel and Triarc low pro GB. Fit and function is superb.
And as usual great customer service and fast shipping from PA.
