Details

Federal’s Syntech ammunition is designed specifically for competition shooting and training. As with all Syntech loads, this ammunition uses the Total Synthetic Jacket (TSJ™). This polymer coating reduces friction between the bullet and the bore by preventing metal-on-metal contact.

The result is Syntech® Action Pistol eliminates copper and lead fouling and extends the life of your firearm’s barrel. In addition, by using clean-burning propellants and Catalyst™ lead-free primers, Syntech simplifies routine maintenance and provides for the smooth and reliable shooting performance that you need.

Designed to meet the power-factor requirements of the competitive shooting sports, and endorsed by the USPSA, Syntech® Action Pistol ammunition uses flatter-nosed 230-grain bullets to more efficiently transfer kinetic energy to steel targets. Leaving the muzzle of a service-length barrel at 830 ft/s, the Syntech® Action Pistol bullet has a muzzle energy of 352 ft-lbf.

In addition, the special coating reduces the risk of splash-back when the bullet strikes a steel target for a safe shooting experience.
