Although a half inch shorter than the standard FN509 the FN 509 MID MRD can be concealed more easily and yet, still a full grip on the textured pistol grip. This version of FN 509 MID MRD comes with a 15 round magazine, but is compatible even with the 24 round 9mm magazine used in the tactical models. As with all FN 509 series, the FN 509 MID MRD is built with a Picatinny style rail beneath the barrel for different accessories such as laser or lighting systems.This particular version of the FN 509 MID MRD is optics ready and designed to be fitted with combat or red dot optic sight systems and features co-witness iron sights, and also comes with interchangeable back straps to fit the grip style of different shooters.Weighing in at only 26.50 ounces the FN509 MID MRD series 9mm is a lightweight and a great choice for a concealable that delivers the same performance and powerful punch as the larger frame FN 509 handguns series.
