The FN Five-SeveN MRD Optics Ready 5.7x28mm Pistol offers enhanced ergonomics, improved controls, and optics-ready capabilities for a well-rounded, high-performance pistol. The MRD features new stippling and texture on the trigger guard and safety selector with deep serrations on the slide for improved handling and control. The slide comes optics-ready using a proprietary mounting system that consists of a series of plates to match the optic to the slide for a seamless setup. With multiple plates available for the market's most common micro red dot optic footprints, the MRD is compatible with a variety of optics on the market.

The 4.8-inch cold hammer forged barrel is chambered in the low-recoil FN 5.7x28mm caliber with a 1:9" twist for unmatched accuracy. The CHF barrel is chrome lined with a black nitride finish for long service life and durability. A fully adjustable rear target sight and photo-luminescent front sight come standard on the MRD for out-of-the-box target acquisition. The MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail near the trigger provides a mounting point to add a weapon light or laser. The MRD Pistol includes a 20-round magazine with a polymer body and low-friction follower for reliable cycling.
