Forward Controls Design EMR-A is the perfect upgrade for users who want an ambidextrous magazine release for their .223 or .308 AR lower receivers. The EMR-A has an extended-length lever with a serrated surface that's easy to reach and press, perfect for shooters with small hands or short fingers. It features a 4140 steel catch with black nitride coating and has a lever made from 7075 aluminum with a type III hard coat anodized finish. The EMR-A's surface is 80% covered in shallow v-shaped serrations that fit the natural curvature of the finger and 20% in straight serrations that provide a natural index point for comfortable activation of the magazine release. A 10.9 lb rated magazine catch spring is included for installation to reduce the risk of accidental or unintended magazine drops.
Note: Due to a lack of standards for 308 AR platforms, the ambidextrous magazine release may not work with all 308 AR style lowers.
