The Forward Controls Design 5/8x24 Xeno Muzzle Brake is the latest offering in the Dead Air sound suppressor mounts line. Threaded for 5/8 x 24, the 1210XE is a Xeno-compatible brake that is compatible with all Dead Air 30 cal sound suppressors.

Made from 4140 steel that is heat treated and black nitrided, the 1210XE is a single-chamber brake with a baffle-like chamber forward of the ports. The tines on the top and bottom that connect the Keymo mount to the front chamber are symmetrical, making installation a breeze.

Designed to do what it's supposed to, the 1210XE is a simple and effective brake that measures at 2.16" in length and weighs 3.34 oz. Made in the USA, it is a superior quality product that requires a 3/4 wrench, Armorer's wrench, or JMW for installation, which are not included. Please note that the 1210XE is long enough to bring a 14.5" barrel to over 16.1" when pinned and welded but not enough to do so on a 13.7" or 13.9".

Great Machine Work

I have and use a half dozen DA Xeno adapters and knew FCD started making these recently. Why not try something else with a different port style. What could go wrong on with a suppressor right? Well when opening up the package I'll say FCD finishing is smooth as glass and my Xeno fitted DA Nomad threads on tight. FWIW, this adapter went on a Ruger RAR 300BO. It does cost more than a DA adapter and really doesn't do anything they don't but it is another option and DA doesn't have one with this style porting (their Wee brake does, sort of, but it is very short as it's designed primarily for a handgun).
