My review of the Foxtrot Mikes lightweight lower billet Receiver

I purchased this receiver over the Thanksgiving holidays for a really good sales price and besides, it just Looks Cool. Thanks PA. My goal is to build the lightest AR possible within reason. This stripped receiver weighs 8.0 oz. It has both a threaded bolt catch pin and a nylon screw under the handgrip area to tighten up the lower and upper receivers. The magwell is beveled to help mag insertion. It is marked Multi for the caliber. The finish is good and about what you would expect. Overall I am very happy with this receiver.

The Negatives.

1 - the stampings on the sides for the maker / Caliber / serial / etc are Very Lightly stamped and hard to see but to me that's NBD.

2 - The cutouts on the Magazine well sides do concern me a little but since I dont plan on rolling around in the mud or beating on my new AR I'm sure it will be fine.
