Details
Details
There are situations where a taller scope mount can make all the difference in your ability to accurately engage targets, or optimally configure your rifle. This 2.04" scope mount will readily clear most common range fingers, lasers, and IR devices, but more importantly was designed specifically for scenarios such as shooting with a gas mask or ballistic face shield, where a traditional cheek weld is not generally practical.
Features:
- 2.04" central height for gas masks or ballistic face shields
- 30mm rings
- AR-15 mount with 4 shear lugs
- Covers 7 picatinny slots
- Cut from single billet 7075-T6 aluminum
- Standard forward extension
- 1,400 lbs of clamp force per thumb nut
- Type 3 hardcoat anodized Desert Dirt Color finish
Geissele Automatics manufactures confidence, offering quality triggers and components for the warfighter and competitor. They were established in 2004 with the mission to build the highest quality, reliable triggers for competition and their first trigger, the Hi-Speed National Match trigger, was so popular that they were asked by the Department of Defense to produce a select-fire trigger for the United States Special Operations. Again, it was a success and Geissele decided to bring a semi-automatic version to the civilian market for law enforcement and personal protection.

Didn't need it til I tried it

High quality blah blah blah. You know that. Here's my review: cool color. I don't care if my buttstock is odg, my pistol grip is grey and my rail is fde. The color of the mount reminds me of a bronze. It's a neat color. Im a welder post military. Throwing this on a blacknrifle,it reminds me of silicone bronze. A cool two-tone effect.
The height. After I mounted an lpvo with it, I compared shouldering, manipulation and point of aim between this setup and another AR with the standard height and exact same lpvo. Yeah, I'm not going back. I just snagged another one because of the sale price plus $100 in bonus bucks I had. I'm buying risers for my other scopes; they're still good. But, if you are shopping for a new mount that is a 'go to war with' and duty quality, this pig will do.
