The Keystone Cricket has been built from the ground up with safety in mind. The manual cocking knob mechanicaly blocks the firing pin and renders the rifle safe even when the action is cycled. When it's time to shoot, the polymer knob can be pulled to cock the firing pin and ready the rifle. The single shot action further simplifies training and safety. An over-looked feature is the reduced length of pull on the lightweight pink synthetic stock, making the rifle not just safe to use, but comfortable so new shooters can focus on the important things.
